Contrast hydrotherapy means cold and hot compressions: Contrast hydrotherapy means cold and hot baking in the affected area, contrast hydrotherapy is another very good remedy for tennis elbow. Warm blood helps increase circulation and reduce pain and cold compress helps reduce inflammation.  Wrap a bottle of hot water in a thin towel and some ice in another towel.  Then hot compress on the affected limb for about three minutes.  Now remove the hot compress and place the cold compress on the affected area for one minute.  Do this remedy for 15 to 20 minutes.  To get relief, do this remedy once a day.

The following exercises will help to relieve the pain of tennis elbow:

Wrist turn:

  • Start with a .5 to 1 kg weight (dumbbells or any other weight).
  • Sit on a chair next to a table.
  • This exercise is done by first turning the elbow at 90 degrees and then with a straight arm without turning the bin.  The palm should be of land both times.  First bend the elbow to 90 degrees and slowly raise the wrist, after moving it up and down with the help of the other hand.  Keep in mind that you have to move yourself upward while using the other hand below.  Hold for a few seconds each time you max up or down.  Repeat this 10 times.  Do it twice a day.  Now do this exercise with elbow stretched. Do 10 times and repeat twice a day.
  • When these exercises become easy for you, then you can increase the weight up to 2 kg by doing 500 grams to 500 grams. Do these exercises twice a day, 5 days a week, for three months.

Ball squeeze:

  • Keep a tennis ball or a rubber ball in hand.
  • Then Squeeze and Release The Ball Slowly for 20 to 25 repetation.


Repeat the process 3 times a day.

Wrist flexor stretch:

  • Keep your hand straight so that your elbows are facing the ground and the palm of the hand faces upwards.
  • Use your other hand to hold and bend the fingers of your outstretched hand. Bend the fingers facing your body against the palm until you can feel it in your inner forearm.

Wrist extensor stretch:
